L-Reuteri

£ 22.90

Food supplement with natural microorganisms L-Reuteri contains 5 billion colony-forming units of the natural microorganism strain Lactobacillus reuteri LA13210® per daily recommended intake of 2 capsules. The acacia fiber powder contained serves as an important source of food for lactic acid bacteria. Lactobacilli belong to the genus of lactic acid bacteria. As the name suggests, they produce lactic acid in the intestine by fermenting carbohydrates and thereby create an acidic environment by lowering the pH value. An acidic environment is ideal for the gut-friendly bacteria. Lactobacillus reuteri is one of the first and most important bacteria to settle in the human intestine shortly after birth. L. reuteri is usually supplied via breast milk. However, studies show that the amount of beneficial bacterial strains in breast milk is decreasing worldwide. Researchers assume that L. reuteri is only found in the intestines of 10 to 20 percent of all people. The modern diet is considered to be the main cause of these alarming results. Preservatives that kill food germs and thereby significantly extend shelf life also seem to attack good bacteria in the intestines. To make matters worse, fewer and fewer people regularly consume fermented products such as yogurt, sauerkraut or sourdough pasta.
